Central Island Boat Moving Ltd. (a.k.a. C I Boat Moving)
Vessel ~ Pre-Trip Requirements
We are very grateful for boats that are properly prepared for travel. This allows us to save you both time and money.
It is very important to us and our fellow motorist that all belongings, on top of cabins, are tied down or removed, insuring nothing will fly off during the move. This includes: antenna, bikinis etc. Fenders, nets, rods, gas containers, etc, are stored down below and most Importantly ensure the hatches are locked very securely.
Axles on trailer are 12 inches from ground to top axle, which means the vessel must be under 12ft. 6in., which allows us a maximum height of 13ft. 6in. Any vessel above this height will need applicable permits. A total height of 16ft. 4in. is possible with the applicable permits and designated route, set out by Department of Transport.
Any applicable permits & pilot cars, as required by the D O T will be at the vessel owners expense. All vessels exceeding 10ft. 6in. in width will also require additional permits & may need pilot cars & designated routes, which will be at the owners expense.
All extra permits and pilots cars will be discussed and arranged prior to the move.
